This girl is my example model for when I have new idea's for a shoot, she is a life saver! And you could even go as far as saying a modern day 'Snow White'! Just look at that sword (which is a prop and not real) even though she has been taught to use real swords in medieval fighting, along with some fencing, and soon to be brushing up on more skills like archery, knife throwing and more! But don't be mistaken by her tom-boyish personality, she's still VERY much a girl at heart. You may see her in camouflage, converses, or a hoodie one day but the next she'll be flaunting a dress, ballerina flats, and peace sign earrings. Playing the piano, designing clothes, drawing, pretty much crafting anything she can. But this is why she is sooo handy to have as a model. I can stick her in any situation and she can do it! If I want girly, I get girly, if I want dramatic shoot, I get dramatic, if I want serious, I get serious, the most shocking thing is, she's the most shyest person you will EVER meet. She doesn't speak unless she has something she feels worthy enough to say and when she does talk it's a sweet and quiet voice. You'd never expect to then see her flinging a sword about outside, or doing tricks on a skateboard. But that's where she has the upper hand, it's taking your enemy by surprise. Like puss'n'boots, the cute baby eyed cat who then flings out a sword and robs you, or Snow White with her skin so fair and soft, who then take's back her kingdom with the help of seven dwarfs.

I am always thankful for the people who let me take them from their daily lives when I have an idea and plonk them down in the most awkward situations in front a camera with a mean flash. Not really knowing how it's going to turn out, or if they've just gotten themselves into a weird situation that is going to end up on the internet for possibly everyone they know to see. But not once have I had any complaints and everyone seems to end up having some fun, even the time's when I've not been able to use the photos because the idea didn't go to plan.
These people are the people that photographers remember from day one until they stop taking photos (if they ever do) they are the one's who stuck through at the beginning through all the mistakes and weird ideas, (which only seem to get weirder) and made it possible for us to feel confident and know what we're doing behind that bulky black box with the scary flash. I can hear that person in the back saying "Of course they do, they're getting a free shoot out of it!" ... okay so maybe they are, doesn't mean the shoot's going to be great, or that they'll like any of the pictures and after awhile if you're constantly being asked to sit behind a camera would you always enjoy it? Especially if YOU don't necessarily like having your photo taken but the photographer like's the way you come out in photos. So a free shoot they deserve for putting up with the photographers weird, randomly unscripted, and unrehearsed demands.
After all, without these people, or your clients... you don't have a business.
Something many people seem to forget.
